2011 NATIONAL TOUR
CLOCKS
Julie Feeney
Hailed by the New York Times as “charming, urbane and dreamy…theatrical on the shell, intricate at the core”, Julie Feeney’s sound has always been unquestionably original. Aligning with a third album release from the multi award-winning artist, the Strollers-produced tour of in 2011 linked this critically acclaimed singer-composer with local communities by incorporating a different local choir into Julie’s performances at each of its ten tour venues.
While Julie comfortably straddles pop and theatre, she is rooted in classical music and worked full-time as a professional choral singer, performing around the world with numerous choirs including the National Chamber Choir of Ireland, Anuna, Riverdance and the BBC singers. With this choral and classical music background, Julie jumped at the opportunity to score her work for local choirs which accompanied her at each tour location.
Sharp witted, unpretentious and fiercely passionate, Julie Feeney is a genuine artist and each of the local choirs relished the opportunity to be part of such a unique tour.
